Festival Foods

Skogen’s Festival Foods is a 41 store chain of full-service supermarkets serving communities across Wisconsin.

From positively impacting communities to ensuring quality products to providing an exceptional experience, Festival has fueled a culture of excellence for more than 75 years.

At Festival Foods, customers are considered guests. With family at their core, Festival aims to give each and every guest the personal attention and support they would expect from their own families. They go above and beyond to ensure they’re meeting expectations held by their guests. It all boils down to their Boomerang Principle:

Every business decision we make is based on the question, “Will it bring the customer back?”

Project Summary

Festival Foods and their refrigeration contractor partner, John’s Refrigeration, were looking for a new vendor partner that could execute a display solution for their produce departments in their upcoming Kimberly and Hudson stores (launched fall 2024). Cayuga has had a good relationship with Festival for some years, so we were approached with this opportunity.

The main issues Festival was having with the produce displays were quality of product, service support and an integrated refrigeration and non-refrigerated display design. They needed somebody who could provide CO2 refrigerated cases to match their non-refrigerated produce tables. An integrated and seamless look, highlighting the product, was the goal.

Solution

Cayuga has extensive expertise in developing integrated dry and refrigerated displays for departments such as produce, deli, bakery and more. Nobody in the market has the same depth of experience and expertise and we were able to flawlessly execute a seamless display solution combining remote CO2 refrigerated displays with matching dry display tables.

What was the result? Festival and John’s were very happy with the attention to detail up front to minimize issues at store level. The comment that came back: “we had 5 case manufacturers involved in these projects and Cayuga is the ONLY company that didn’t have any issues.”

Next steps? Festival has given us a shopping list of other cases and displays that they would like us to tackle for future projects.
